Muscat, 21 June 2023 – Focusing on education, training and capacity-building in its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, CC Energy Development (CCED), and its partners in Blocks 3 & 4, Mitsui E&P Middle East B.V. and Tethys Oil Block 3 & 4 Limited, supported to the Musta’ed Programme in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and Outward Bound Oman. The programme focuses on unlocking the potential of local young people through outdoor experiential learning and problem-solving activities.
CCED’s commitment to giving back locally includes providing young people with valuable training opportunities. As part of this effort, CCED sponsored 500 out of more than 1,000 participants joining the Musta’ad Programme in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and Outward Bound Oman. Provided with a non-classroom-based learning environment, participants are challenged to step out of their comfort zones. Thanks to the Musta’ad Programme, they will develop essential life skills, gain a sense of accomplishment, and are empowered to thrive in diverse environments.
Walter Simpson, Managing Director of CC Energy Development, said, “We are a diverse, ethical and responsible organisation that believes people are key to our success. We aim to give back to the communities we work with and our purpose-built Corporate Social Responsibility strategy covers a variety of themes including education, health and the environment. We focus on supporting initiatives that are aligned with our core values and we are committed to achieving sustainable socio-economic development for Oman and its people.”
Mohammed Al Zadjali, Chief Operations Officer at Outward Bound Oman commented, “The impact of Outward Bound Oman’s courses in developing the nation’s talent in line with Vision 2040 is a result of the sustained hard work and commitment of many people, and of a genuinely productive and positive partnership between government, the private sector and the not-for-profit community.”
Through innovation, training programmes and investing in initiatives benefitting the communities and environment in which it operates, CCED facilitates local capacity-building and environmental stewardship to deliver sustainable outcomes for future generations in Oman.
