Muscat, 5 March 2024 – CC Energy Development (CCED) participated in the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) Career Fair 2024. Committed to introducing Omani talent to potential careers in the energy sector, CCED provided students with information about the company’s successful fresh graduates’ programme. CCED offers structured on-the-job training to recent Omani graduates in diverse areas of its operations.
“It is one of the key priorities in our talent acquisition programme to participate in the SQU Career Fair every year. We are confident that this event provides talented fresh graduates with opportunities to see what this industry can do to kick-off their careers,” said Walter Simpson, Managing Director of CC Energy Development. “We provide a structured professional development programme for graduates; no previous work experience is required as we support them in honing their skill sets. Ultimately, we are recruiting future leaders at CCED and helping to bridge the gap between education and employment for Omani students.”
Held from 4 until 6 March 2024, the annual SQU Career Fair is organised by the Center for Career Guidance at the research-intensive university. It attracts employers to meet with thousands of Omani students and graduates who are exploring available entry-level graduate jobs and will make up a major part of the future workforce.
Employment and empowerment of the Omani youth are important objectives laid out in the Oman Vision 2040. Playing its part to contribute to this objective, while as a dynamic and inclusive organisation, CCED believes its technical excellence is built on the ability and potential of its people from various demographics. The company’s growth mindset is based on a ‘thinks globally but acts locally’ approach and it is committed to contributing to Oman’s socio-economic growth and development.
